Probably the same deus ex machina which has both worlds speaking the same language . They likely have the same written language . Also show writers work with time restraints , so exploring why or causing the characters to speak or read different languages is extremely unlikely . This is why fanfiction exists to explore such things as a language barrier and communication issues between characters who do not speak in alien/extraterrestrial tongues .

The only thing that bugged me. She shouldn’t have been able to figure the thing out.

Given that the final solution was destroying the stone, well………….Let’s just say he could have started with the most simple solution.

Whats worse, leaving instructions for how to use it properly or letting people experiment with it not knowing what it does and potentially cause an even bigger problem

Clover probably buried it with instructions while simultaneously wiping out his own memories of the stone. But, beforehand, he crafted a memento that would inform future ponies how and where to find the device should something happen in Equestria so catastrophic that it would necessitate using such a forbidden tool once again. Then, as irony would have it, time and ignorance eliminated all traces of knowledge until Princess Twilight did her research in the Restricted Archives.
 
Also… it begs the question…
 
How do we know Clover himself didn’t use the stone before “ethically disposing” of it? And if he did use it… then on who? Or what?

Can definitely understand that, but I won’t lie I expected more from someone with “the Clever” in his name.

Clover the clever and unbelievably naive.

I’ve said it before, but I can see ponies being naive enough to leave instructions and an explanation so that if someone stumbles across it they’ll be sure to not use it by accident.
