I wonder if the hate is still around or non-existent at this point..

oh look - it is the Sunset Shimmer, the lowest common denominator of the My Little Pony* cast. I regained the bit of hope in humanity I just lost five hours ago. hooray. :/ :c
*I’m talking about the franchise as a whole, not just Gen 4.
Oh I expect nothing more and nothing less, you and I have crossed paths before.
I know, I know, I’m a pedant, but what do you expect? Look at my avatar and my badges.
Okay let’s try this one more time, I’ve been here since the beginning of the 2nd Season in September 2011. Over the past 7 years all individuals that have been involved have put forward effort while working on the show.
After all these years I have seen enough consistent effort in the production and broadcast of the show that I am willing to set aside any assumptions and speculations, and watch the entire 1st Season of the next generation of the franchise. Regardless of what happens between now and then.
It’s not called Studio B anymore, it’s called DHX Vancouver, and they don’t write the scripts or handle the voice acting. The scripts are written by american writers at Hasbro Studios in america, and the voice acting is handled by Voicebox Productions and recorded at Dick & Rodger’s sound studio.
Agreed.
I don’t see how that could change my statement on Generation 5. A new staff, a new studio, different actors. None of those things remove the goodwill that DHX and Studio B built up over the years.
it will likely have a different staff.
Eeyup.
And I agreed with you that it is a possibility. One that I’d be happy to see.
More than likely , yes.
@Paradox_Brony
I’m saying that just because one generation ends doesn’t mean the fandom will.
Look at the Doctor Who and Star Trek fandoms… Both started in the ‘60’s and are still going strong.
I made a comment about this after BABScon put up a pole on G5.
After all this time I’m going to watch at least the entire 1st Season of Generation 5. I owe the staff enough reasonable doubt after all the amazing work they’ve done over the years.
As far as it bringing back the fandom I’m not 100% sure about that. Anything can happen, and I’d be very excited if that happens. But lightning doesn’t generally strike twice.
Perhaps not only you’ll have a walking grill/lamp/fireplace who stalks you just to see your abs, but hundreds of angry nerds who want your new fire GF for themselves.
Eeyup!

You should get a solar panel, some sunscreen, and a marshmellow and bacon on a stick. Who knows that she’ll appreciate watching you sunbathe for her light, to look at your well-sculpted body? XD
I became a fan at the end of Season 3, the first episode I watched was Magical Mystery Cure, so I got in on it during the Twilycorn drama, followed by the EqG drama.
The first episode I technically watched first, before I even knew what MLP was, was Griffon The Brush Off.
I was recommended to the show by the daughter of my moms high school best friend… And from that day forward I became a Brony.
I, honestly, can’t wait for G5 because it could bring the fandom up.
I’ll be honest I remember every single little drama in the fandom. Been a part of this thing since the beginning of Season 2. And from my perspective I don’t think there’s enough steam left in the fandom for us to really cause any more problems I think that the show will come to a rather quiet end.
Those of us left here will wish the franchise well and thank everybody for their work making the show. But the majority of people who are fans in the early days won’t find out until much later on. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve run into a Brony who was a fan in 2012 and 2013 and is surprised to hear that the show is still going on.
Hopefully but with the fanbase crisis from 2012-2017 or so it’s still nuclear fallout in the MLP fanbase, anything can happen. Let’s hope for the better.
Oh I see, I thought you hated EG or something.
For the record, if we get more specials like Forgotten Friendship or Rollercoaster of Friendship (the latter focusing on characters other than Sunset)… we have nothing to worry about.

Yes, Equestria Girls was a good idea, but it was ruined by the fanbase (Certain people.)
2013: Yay! something new!
The fanbase trashes the whole thing.
2014: Okay maybe this works
The Dazzlings (especially Sonata Dusk) get too much spotlight and the fanbase trashes it.
2015: Okay, let something happen, looks like a good movie.
Everything about it is ripped too shreds by the fanbase.
2016: Christsaveme
The fanbase literally loses their shit over TimberXTwilght, trashed by them.
2017: Okay this is bad but maybe it could redeem itself, right?
Everything is just thrown off a cliff.
2018: yeah you get the whole deal.
(Not saying the whole fanbase ruined it, only certain people did trash it over.) I’m not saying Equestria Girls is garbage too the very end, it was just put in a bad spotlight
Edited because: The slightest of mistakes, and now I have too make sense.
Hardly.
If leaked episodes do not count, I recall that I last watched the two-parter ending of Season 7, “Shadow Play”. Stygian the colt looks kind of cute.
