Grammatically, it is better to use fewer when you are referring to something countable and use less when it is a mass or indeterminate amount. Fewer legs, but less salt or money.
Twilight is more likely to nit pick the grammar than Sunset, though.

“Less” and “fewer” are synonyms. For example, it would make sense to say both “I have less cookies than before” and “I have fewer cookies than before”. Come on, BP. You know better.
