Not so long ago stumbled on humanization of Princess Celestia in the style of the paintings of the Renaissance and, terribly inspired, I decided to try to draw something like that.

The original is actually the Angel of Grief, an 1894 sculpture by William Wetmore Story for the grave of his wife, at the “Non-Catholic Cemetery” in Rome, Italy. Many replicas of the original were made throughout the world.
I had the SAME thought!
I saw this & for some reason thought of the album cover for Nightwish’s Once. both those pictures look quite similar.
