I'm not much of a PC gamer honestly, but you have some points. Though, not everyone can afford the most powerful PCs on the market, and sometimes have to settle for less, (resulting in some games being unplayable on their hardware) and some don't know how to constantly take them apart, and upgrade them. (like myself) So consoles can be more convenient for people.
I do agree about Nintendo, while some write them off as "kiddy," "underpowered," "gimmicky," and such, they still make impressive game software, and products.
(And if it wasn't for them making "gimmicks" like a D-pad controller, NES Zapper, Game & Watch, rumble packs, thumb-sized pressure-sensitive analogue sticks, touchscreens, ect. gaming wouldn't be the same as it is today. Heck, if it wasn't for Nintendo, the Playstation wouldn't exist at all, and Sony never would've entered the gaming market.)

Like that new line of cardboard accessories being included with some Nintendo games may look kinda silly/gimmicky, and while not something I'm interested in, I think it could be fun for those who love making papercraft projects, and such. It could be good for younger fans too who like to build things. It'd be interesting to see people make & paint their own custom cardboard arcade cabinets, they can set their Switch screen & controller pieces in, and such. Among other things. Maybe some will invent their own accessories.
