I personally don’t know myself, but I don’t see burlesque as something you dress up to be a whore for. I would say this is more about being a showmare.

I’m not sure how accurate that trope is, but I don’t think Burlesque dress really means you’re a hooker? I think it’s just an old showmare style. Maybe it does have some truth to it, though, I dunno.
