Rarity is the sassiest unicorn. she comes from a long line of Important Fashion Ponies™, and her parents are strict and very famous within Canterlot. they expect her to hold up the family tradition of dress making and outfit making, and she does as she grows up but she realizes that her work feels… empty. like it’s missing something. so after she gets into an argument with her parents over it, she grabs her things, her younger sister Sweetie Belle, storms out of the house and moves to Ponyville and opens her own boutique with some of the money that she took with her when she left Canterlot. in Ponyville, she discovers the magic of friendship with the other members of the Mane 6, and as a result her future works shine much more brilliantly and look better compared to her older outfits and designs.
