egyptians’s artworks were not known by their fidelity to the real thing. the artworks where all symbolic as to represent a figure than to represent THE subject

She doesn’t look that bad and this statue was made when she was still alive. Also, her visage on the coins looks just plain… for today’s standards. Please remember that those were other times and humans are constantly evolving and changing their appearances. Today’s fatso nerd (such as myself) would probably look like a baron or warchief in the baroque era and have a “angelic” face.
Also: I think that’s quite rude. For me the only way I could vomit because of someone’s appearance would be if he purposefully made himself look mangled, gorey, or hideous, including really bad smell (this would be the most hard pressing factor) and simply being dirty and untidy about him- or herself.
And I’ve seen people with healed over facial scaring that was really bad. The worst thing I ever felt about people who missed their noses for example, was just simple disturbance of someone who didn’t look the way he supposed to be (like for example, when you see someone who doesn’t even have an eyehole because he was born with just one eye as a deformity). It wasn’t really vomit inducing, it was just scary and food for imagination as to what caused such damage.
Cleopatra was considered a beauty in her times and in a long time after her death. Sure, she’s romanticized and many canons of beauty changed multiple times but it didn’t change her status.
All in all: this is a cute, historically and romantically inspired pony. Let’s leave it at that, shall we?
but if you saw how cleopatra’s accurate historical appearance would be, you would vomit
