Silver Lining walked up to a familiar mare he called his friend and waved a hoof. “Hey, Cally.” He said with a dull tone.
The mare paused and tilted her head, hurrying over with her father right behind her. “Hey Silver. Sorry about my Dad but he wanted to come along.”
The unicorn stallion shook his head. “Nah, it’s fine.” He glanced back at her father. “Hey, Mr Joe.” He nodded and nudged some hair from his face.
The tan stallion nodded and smirked, tilting his head to the side. “Keep an eye on my daughter, you got it Pie?” He sneered playfully and stamped his hoof.
The younger mare tensed up and scoffed at her father. “Daddy, that’s enough. We’ll be good. Just go back to the cafe already!” She huffed, cheeks blushing red and looked back at her friend. “Mom can’t work there by herself for long. Besides, you’re the only chef. So hurry back!” Se huffed.
Donut Joe chuckled and shrugged his shoulders before returning to the cafe he owned with his wife and ran with his children too.
The mare sighed and looked down at the ground feeling highly embarrassed. “Sorry about my dad…he’s…really embarrassing.” She sighed and continued to walk next to Silver Lining beside her. Her dad had a tendency to embarrass her most of the time, if not all of the time. However, she was a Daddy’s mare for sure.
Silver Lining couldn’t help but crack a small smile. “It’s fine. You’re Dad’s kinda funny.” He paused and looked away. thinking of his own parental problems and issues. Though, he did enjoy spending time with his best friend - Calypso Crunch.
The mare had quite the crush on her friend and it showed sometimes but Silver Lining was too oblivious to even think that.
“He’s just being weird. It’s not like we’re…going on a date or whatever.” She huffed, cheeks turning red. “It’s just to hang out.” She said, trying to stay calm and not get flustered in the least bit.
Silver Lining paused and looked down at her. “Hanging out? I thought you said you wanted to learn more about cooking and serving.” He asked slightly confused.
She tensed up and her cheeks turned bright shades of red. “I-I know! I just…I thought we could hang out!” She huffed, still blushing bright red. “You’re such a stickler sometimes, geez Sil…” She muttered and continued to walk along side him. “Such a jerk sometimes…”
Silver paused and looked down at her noticing the redness on her face. His eyes softened and leaned down closer to her. “Your cheeks are red. You know you can’t cook in the kitchen if you’re sick…” He muttered softly.
The mare tensed up and turned bright red all over her body, heart racing and she looked away quickly. “S-Stop! I-I’m fine!” She huffed and rolled her eyes. “I-Idiot…” She grumbled and looked away as the two continued back to an empty building in Canterlot where he usually cooked or spent time alone.
