  • Thank you for demonstrating exactly why more and more imageboards are doing just that, and if derpibooru was smart it’d do the same thing. Well, that and the anontrolls and shit.

    Except two problems:
     
  1. Captions are rather hit and miss to begin with, making it hard to tell what people will find funny and what people won’t because there’s no such thing as a universally (or even majorly accepted) standard of humor. ANd even if there was, it certainly isn’t yours.
     
  2. Half the humor in YTC actually comes from fan reactions and comments (when it’s NOT Being filled up with butthurt from a BGPony too lazy to get an account whining about shit no one else seems to care about) anyway, so its a nill point.

Maybe you don’t realize that image floods of any kind tend to piss off a ton of regular users.

Except we registered users get this nice little feature where we can enter in certain tags (IE: “youtube caption”) into our blacklists and it won’t show up.
 
So, no. It’s not “an issue for nearly everyone.” It’s an issue for shitty BPs too pussy/whiny/whatever to get an account (Seriously it takes like, not even a minute) and morons who don’t know how to use the filter tags.
 
Besides, some, or rather, a lot of us here actually… I dunno… LIKE this stuff?

Honestly, this is part of the reason more and more imageboards are making registering a requirement when it comes to posting.
