An animation of >>1438923I left this animation sitting 90% completed for several months after getting it stuck in the uncanny valley. I hope I managed to get out of it! It’s so hard to tell after staring at it endlessly.
It’s beautiful. The two of you did a great job on this.
To clear some confusion, this is indeed an animation of >>1438923 . I cannot take credit for the lighting! I was fortunate to be able to collaborate with Starblaze and got to work with the source file, which had both day and night lighting and was flipped compared to the posted image. It was of course also modified further to animate it in After Effects, since paintings and animations aren’t layered in the same way. But it’s the same painting, minus some texturing and given some ethereal mane effects.
