Here’s the Sparkle Family Photo, in which Princess Twilight Sparkle is pictured with her two consorts, the reformed and rehabilitated Lord Sombra, and Sunset Shimmer, and her two children by each of them, Prince Midnight Marvel and Princess Sunbeam Majesty.

Midnight Marvel and his sister are wearing horn ringlets and mantles depicting their cutie marks to denote their position, while Sombra and Sunset Shimmer wear mantles depicting twilight’s cutie mark marking their status as royal consorts. Twilight got more princess-y as the years went on, getting taller, a larger wingspan, and her yellow hair streaks became permanent. Sombra in his redemption lost his shadow-y visage, gaining a more neutral color palette but still touched by the darkness. While he no longer serves villainy, much like Discord, he maintains a gruffness befitting the dark stallion’s previous nature. He can no longer perform magic beyond the most basic of spells due to losing his horn when he was discorporated.

The family of five live within Twilight’s Castle within Ponyville and the children are and were raised in a cooperative effort, both referring to Sombra, Twilight, and Sunset as father and mothers to them.

Couldn’t decide if Sunlight or Twibra was going to be my canon ship for my Nextgen Universe, so I decided to go with Both. Also adds some polygamist and non traditional family dynamics into the universe, which is great.

I love how smug Sunset looks.
