Lockepicke examines the contraption on the left for a little while longer, even though she very much doesn’t know what it is. She’s slightly reluctant to fiddle with it too much, because she’s known a wizard or two, and they have a weird habit of trapping their belongings. The mare can tell that there is no magical trap on this, but she isn’t so sure about anything else.
 
She looks for any other mechanisms, but the only ones seem to be the plate the balls are sitting on, the slots (which are identical except for their position), and the orbs themselves.
 
Lockepicke rearranges her hat as she thinks, and then decides to go look at the placard.
 
The placard is made of some shiny metal, perhaps aluminum. Lockepicke gets a funny feeling from the Placard, and thinks that it might be magical. The sign and the outcropping above the placard are made of the same rock as the building is, however. There doesn’t seem to be any mechanisms on these, neither on the placard itself nor the sign that says to announce herself.
