The difference is that the democrats are calling for Al Franken to resign in light of the allegations, whereas the republicans are making every excuse under the sun for Roy Moore because they don’t want to lose the senate majority. Another difference is that Franken owned up to what he did and said outright that he’s willing to face the music. Moore, not so much.
 
I’m not defending Franken; no sane person is. People are defending Moore. That’s the part I’m not okay with.
 
Having said that, comparing Al Franken to Steve Bannon is insultingly stupid. One is a pervert, the other is a pervert, a racist, a misogynist, an elitist, a Nazi-sympathizer, a liar, and a giant man-baby. They’re both bad, but the other is far, far worse.

I normally don’t like inserting politics or religion into an unrelated show either, especially mouthpieces. But this seems fairly benign. Harshwhinny is herself too much like both Hillary and Trump for me to feel like she’s being used to unfairly attack/promote one over the other, and it’s easier to skewer them both. Since Hillary is irrelevant now (or at least, she should be. That woman doesn’t know when she’s beaten and nobody likes her) it might feel like the joke’s only on republicans, but that’s only be virtue of Trump being the last man standing. And still getting his butt is a jam.

but I hate to say it, but I kinda lost a li’l respect for Pixelkitties for inserting real life politics, and a caricature of an IRL politician into MLP. (I even took her off my watch list for that.) I just don’t like mixing those things, as honestly it’s rather cringy, and touchy. Even if it was a left-winger or Al Franken here, it’d still look weird to me frankly.
 
It’s like seeing those brony images I see here bashing Trump/Obama/ect. They just look weird, and it’s kinda like a mouthpiece image.  
I come to the brony fandom to escape that B.S. but instead I just get more of it, and it makes me tired of always trying to keep quiet about my opinions, and it makes me feel really alone in the fanbase too.

Unlike you, I wasn’t subtlety insulting certain groups of people, but instead just one guy.
 
How was I twisting things, considering there is photographic proof that Al Franken has molested women, and such? So I’m the one horrible for mocking him?  
It really bugs me people are still blindly defending, and being apologetic for him just ‘cause he’s a Democrat. Including fake-feminists too ironically.
 
For that matter I don’t like Republicans like Roy Moore, so nice try, but at least I can actually call out A-holes on the Right. (Which is almost too easy.) My whole point originally was, I wish more people on the Left could call out, or make fun of their own too. I rarely see satire or critique of the Left from lefties. (Except by Bill Maur.)
 
I honestly dislike people who follow their political party on everything blindly, on both sides. Neither is perfect.  
I sometimes hate the two-party system, as it just keeps Americans divided, but of course countries with only one party, and one ideal are much worse.

I had a tumor removed that looked better than Steve Bannon.

This might very well be the best/most human Steve Bannon has ever looked.
