I already said that it’s ok for you or anyone else to like things like this, I don’t say you shouldn’t do it or why it’s wrong, I simply stated that I fail see the reason for shipping and discussion took place. Quite civil I need to add.
 
Yet someone here questioned my freedom to speak my mind with quote old as Internet itself, Oh well, some things don’t change.

Dude, I’m not saying that you can’t disagree with this ship or dislike shipping. You asked why people shipped it and we gave you some answers.
 
And it probably was just an awkward look. MLP usually doesn’t delve into romance often anyways. But the fact of the matter is, two characters looking at each other that way underneath a starry sky with fireworks does come off as romantic. A lot of people know that their ships aren’t canon, so it’s no big deal.
 
Like I said before, there’s still quite a lot of platonic friendship stuff in this fandom and in other ones.

For me it was an awkward look since they both were enemies just hours before, no wonder Tempest felt awkward and couldn’t maintain eye contact.  
But of course, it was romantic.
 
Shipping is not my think, I see little point in that but if you enjoy it, go on. I’m not the person to stop you.

the bedroom eyes sealed the deal for Tempest and Twilight for me lol, but as for as why i Ship Luna with them is because of silfoe’s Royal Sketch Book, i have fallen in love with her story universe heh so i decided why not see if i can merge them together

I’m not, it’s just the time I express my annoyance. Shipping makes no sense, yet it’s popular. As if people couldn’t form any other relationship than romantic one… well, starved thinks about bread.

I can’t explain why people like pairing Luna with Tempest or Twilight, but I can explain to you why people like shipping Twilight and Tempest together. The two of them spent a lot of time in the movie focused on each other and dynamic wise, they’re foils. They’re both cut from the same cloth and the movie did make some subtle (and not so subtle) implications that the two of them have things in common. (Also the end of the movie they were sharing some bedroom eyes with each other which is prime shipping fuel.)

Well I was a huge Twiluna shipper, but when I saw the movie, Tempest and Twilight were so adorable at the end that it corrupted me a little and I wanted to have her join in.
 
In my own headcannon:
 
(First see Silfoe’s Royal Sketchbook and follow that story.)
 
When Tempest was introduced she had a crush on Twilight, being the first and only pony in her life to ever selflessly risk their life for her. It moved Tempest’s heart. She developed feelings for Twilight and served as the captain of her royal guard.
 
She eventually confessed her love to Twilight, and Twilight did care for her too, but her heart was pledged to Luna and was faithful to her. As the Princess of Friendship this caused an emotional conflict within Twilight; she couldn’t stand making such a close friend hurt. Luna saw her inner turmoil and thought of a solution; they would all live together as the Wives of Twilight.

Can’t imagine where this ship comes from, but they look great!
