Consider the philosophy behind it: That death is an undeniable part of the cycle of life; that our bonds, in this case family, continue beyond death in the form of lineage and heritage; and that being forgotten is a fate comparable to death and thus being remembered is important for us mortals.
Not only are those sentiments anyone could get behind, but arguably it shares common themes with The Perfect Pear.
It is interesting to see. Doesn’t mean much if you haven’t seen the movie, but very fitting if you have and no one the song is supposed to mean.
Okay, if they showed it in Mexico in October, it actually makes sense now. Still don’t think I’d care for it; like that one guy from “A Fistful of Dollars”, I think the dead should stay with the dead and the living with the living.
It’s probably upbeat enough to be a holiday film.
it’s not a halloween movie, it’s a dia de los muertos movie. the movie actually premiered in mexico about a month ago. also, it’s extremely good and i strongly recommend seeing it.
