The episode “Mysterion Rises” finally begins to explain Kenny’s deaths, when Kenny, as Mysterion reveals to Captain Hindsight his superpower is his familiar inability to die, explaining he’s died countless times, usually ending up in Heaven or Hell, but no matter what he wakes up in his bed the next day in his same clothes. It is slightly implied this is involved with the Cthulhu cult, as his parents were arrested for their involvement ten years ago.
