“You’re sure you don’t just like me because I resemble your mother?”
 
“‘Course not! That’s the honest truth!”
 
“Oh? Then by all means, tell me all about it.”
 
“W-well, yer uh… smart, fer one thing, a-and, _{real pretty}, and, the way ya laugh is-”
 
Adagio leans closer, a playful smirk on her face “Yeeesss…?”
 
“Uh…” Applejack’s eyes narrow “Wait a sec, are you just askin’ so I’ll compliment you again?”
 
Adagio chuckles, closing in to wrap her arms around Applejack’s neck and pull her in, swiping the hat off her head “Just looking for the honest truth.”
 
And then she pulls Applejack in even closer, using the hat to hide their faces from Applejack’s nearby family members as she kisses only the tip of Applejack’s nose, popping the hat onto her head and giving her a wink before sashaying away to leave the poor, flustered farmgirl to deal with the fallout of her family thinking she kissed Adagio.
