Sombra and maybe one other are like exceptions to the rule. If it were more like our world, body counts would be very high.

They're herbivores, so no difficulty or existential "others must die so I can have a juicy steak and bacon" dread.

But overall, the show is just _*optimistic_*. It's a world where the good guys always win in the end, friendships stay together or at least come back together in the end, and things just generally work out in a good way.

Sweetie Belle fixed Rarity's headdress in time, the CMCs got marks that let them stay together and doing what they love, Diamond Tiara came around (still waiting on a new episode with her!), Starlight wasn't assassinated, executed, sent to Guantanomo Bay or even imprisoned _*and_* she got to have a shot at getting her friendship back together with Sunburst. Sunburst got a job as Crystaller despite his difficulty in college, Moondancer got back to friendship before she killed herself, the Diamond Dogs didn't [spoile||r]rape[/spoiler]|| and/or murder Rarity, nopony died in the Ursa attack, Spike wasn't majorly punished or locked away or killed as a danger to society after _*Secret of my Excess_* despite almost roasting the Wonderbolts alive, Rarity won the fashion show despite Suri stealing her fabric, and her friends didn't leave and they got to see Hinny in the Hills, Pinkie doesn't have crippling depression as far as we know, nopony died in the Changeling Invasion, not even the mane 6 or Shining Armor, Twilight has yet to really fail at her studies and dreams - heck, _*everpony_* achieved theirs or has a clear one in mind, even if it's just doing what they already do, etc etc etc.

Also they seem to have a lot of leisure time.

You can interpret it in various ways, but the big difference is it's basically a very lucky world, where if something goes wrong it's usually not that big of a deal and it turns out okay in the end.

AJ's parents are like the one glaring exception. But they're just that - an exception. And none of the mane 6 have had the life or dream-crushing experience of reality, nor have any of them really felt _*lost_* before.

And yeah, much of that is due to the rating, but nonetheless that is canon to that world. None of the mane 6 are dead despite the crap they pull all the time. Or any of the CMC, for that matter. I mean, would responsible parents in _*our_* world just let 8-year olds loose around town? Of course not. Not even in a very nice town. _*Especially_* if they pull the kinda crap the CMC do. But none of them are dead, still. Despite even going through the darn _*Everfree Forest_* from time to time on their own (like AB going to Zecora's).

Whatever the reason, even if it's just rating, that's their world. When the Hooffields and McColts fight it's cartoon and not bloody. Scootaloo catapults herself in the sky and pops in a cloud without breaking her neck. Plunderseed vines didn't kill anypony. I could go on and on with all the stuff that would've turned very grimdark in our world but didn't in theirs.

Nopony drowned in PPoV when the boat sank. Scootaloo _*fell in a river at night and went over a waterfall_* and was okay in Sleepless in Ponyville. Applejack survived the Timberwolves in Spike at Your Service (to say nothing of all the mane 6's escapades in their main adventures AND lack of resulting PTSD, to boot). Babs not only wasn't killed or majorly hurt in the float going off a cliff and diving into a river, but she came around to be friends and heaven's knows the CMC might've ended up in juvinille detention IRL.

Just a cursory glance through the _*bad end_* tag will reveal many more.

To say nothing of all the situations that ended perfectly, like Luna on Nightmare Night, AJ and RD in Fall Weather Friends, Pinkie, AJ and Rarity in PPoV. Starlight and the mane 6 in Every Little Thing She Does. Spike and AJ in Spike at Your Service.

Just about every - if not simply every episode is like this.

It's one thing if it's more slice of life, but enough episodes have some intense stuff that would have terrible IRL consequences that don't happen in the show, that regardless of if it's just because of the rating, fact remains that it paints a very nice picture of the world.

How accurate that picture is and how much the mane 6 and CMC are just lucky, that's headcanon. But if you take it at face value, being the main character in any TV-Y show is going to make you very lucky.

To say nothing of the world just looking cute and being a barrage of friendly and bright color. If humans were that cute that'd be real nice, heh.

All that being said, I think most bronies would go through heavy internet and smartphone withdrawal and find the lack of air conditioning unbearable, heh. Though I dunno if they have A/C, just that it doesn't look it. Rarity might, lol. You can just imagine she's one of the few ponies in town with a super expensive commercial technology for her boutique because she can't stand sweating in the summer...

But I dunno, if I didn't stay up to 3am on my phone and laptop that'd sure be super nice :P

But I wouldn't be able to write, we would've be able to talk, and I wouldn't be able to Google and Wikipedia stuff.

Man, I might actually get outside and talk to people in town or something, jeez.
