CMC Scootaloo at it again, I see. The same person who’s been saying EG is dead any day now for the past 4 years because “it’s not doing well enough” despite mountains and mountains of evidence to the contrary. Mountains that keep growing in defiance of your repeated claims.
 
Equestria Girls is not going anywhere. It’s in the process of growing, if anything. They’re not “pulling resources” you tool. Daniel Ingram is one man with only so much time to dedicate to the projects assigned to him. The rather distinct absence of songs in season 7 are indicative of how swamped he already is, he only had time for a handful of songs because he was busy with the movie. He admitted this himself in an interview earlier this year.
 
Too bad you ignore everything you don’t like because it doesn’t fit your increasingly obtuse narrative that desperately wants Equestria Girls to be unpopular and all the fans to be wrong.

Not a legit confirmation… Hiring more songwriters and composers to ease up the work. Daniel Ingram can’t work on the movie, FiM S7 and the Summertime shorts alone.

Not at all! She asked Sethisto to not put words into her mouth by saying she “confirmed” anything for future releases, cause she was afraid it could come across as a breach of her NDA.  
She did, however, reveal that they hired a bunch of new songwriters for EQG and that Daniel Ingram only made one song from the Summertime Shorts anymore, while the new writers handled the rest, in that tweet.  
They wouldn’t hire a bunch of new songwriters for EQG if Daniel Ingram would still be up to the task of making those as usual, so this pretty much confirms that Daniel Ingram is not on board of EQG anymore still. :)

DHX doesn’t animate, Top Draw in the Philippines does, with the exception of the Boulder Media shorts.

Oh my god, ONE PERSON on the regular team is no longer working on it to focus more on the show that he’s ALREADY WORKING ON. That clearly means it’s dying even though it’s still selling pretty well and they have 45 shorts on the way on Youtube.

Not the animation, after all, apparently. Tweet below says it’s still done by DHX for the new Netflix YouTube shorts.  
Still, this is a major step, to more ponies and less humans.  
I was pretty gloomy today, but this news really cheered me up! :D

Isn’t pretty much everything EG getting shopped out to Boulder now, other than the voice talent and writing?

First, the new web series is being released to YouTube, not Netflix. Maybe Netflix too later down the line, but YouTube first.

Pretty much, that’s what it looks like. It started with no EQG movie this year, because of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Movie, and the three specials and some shorts instead.  
Recently, there was an announcement that EQG is basically getting reduced to more shorts that get released on Netflix with November (euphemistically called a “series”, but it’s really just shorts one has to pay for now) and now Daniel Ingram stops working for EQG and focuses fully on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic again.  
Then there’s the animation, which seems to get fully outsourced to Boulder Media now. So, yeah, EQG is not getting the main ressources anymore.
 
Reading this news made me very happy. :) Even though his simultaneous work for the songs in EQG never affected the quality of the songs in the show, I’m glad he’s an exclusive song writer and producer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic again now, the first time in more than four years. :)

eh i think its mostly that it is the semi typical highschool stuff, but given character you actually enjoy to watch.
 
Though i kinda hope that if they do we see sunset shimmer more in the main series. We still have potential with her.

Wait, so does this mean, due to the success of the Movie, they’re gonna start focusing on the Pony aspect of it more and more?
 
That’s just fine by me! :) While I know there’s a lot of EqG fans here too, I just never got it.
