Always serious, mature, self-structured, and reliable.  
Married and divorced. I’m 34.  
Pony wormed its way to my soul and is my only escape to innocence, where I can smile and cry.

I’m pretty much stuck in childhood myself. I mean, I have a full-time job that doesn’t require a college education, but I’m 31 years old with no wife, no kids, no girlfriend and a hobbies list that includes video games and ponies, as well as a room full of pony plushies.

What’s funny is she kind of sounds a bit older than the other ponies but she often acts younger.

I wonder if that’s related to what the writers thought of her age as, if it’s just the voice actress, or if it’s because they don’t modify the villain’s voice to be as squeaky or what…
 
Speaking of, do they modify the voice actresses’ voices from the raw recording to the show - as in make them a bit more high pitched and stuff? It seems like it. Like, they certainly aren’t normal voices. Certainly not Pinkie Pie’s at least. Seems maybe modified, but maybe it’s just really impressive acting :q

Starlight didn’t get to have a childhood, so she’s making up for it now.

We’re fans of ponies. I think most people here should be self aware enough to admit as much.
 
Adulthood sucks.
 
Especially before you’re married and got a good career and all. Then you get the worst of both worlds.
 
No reason not to suck up what good and bliss you can.
 
I miss the bliss. I really, really freaking miss it.

Maybe this is why I relate to Starlight so much, I’m pretty much a big kid myself

Also consider that her “job” is literally taking friendship lessons directly from a princess.
 
While she lives in an enormous palace you can easily get lost in, with a swimming pool on the roof, a library, and a lot of rooms they don’t even know what to do with.

Some of those rooms would turn into crazy places. One of which would be full, over the years, of crazy inventions and hardware}

To be fair she didn’t have much of a childhood after the whole Sunburst left and depression hit scenario so maybe she is just making up for lost time.

 
Her room’s so childlike too. I wonder if that’s just how she is or if she legitimately hasn’t grown up?

I never flew a kite as a kid but I’ve always liked those creative big ones that it takes almost 3 to control.
