I didn’t notice that, it’s actually a nice horsey reference.
I remember there’s alot of debate, and speculation over that famous story arc.

Oh c’mon, he was hilarious when we were kids, (or before we were born) and still has his moments occasionally.
Looking back at the 1980s/1990s show “Garfield & Friends” it actually had pretty clever writing, especially when it made fun of those overly-P.C. “everyone always agrees, everyone gets along” kid shows.
In fact, surprisingly, some Garfield comics are pretty edgy for it’s day. Like an old one when Garfield said his favorite movie is “Old Yeller,” because he “loves a movie with a happy ending.” That’s still one of my favorites.
