The idea of her converting ponies into “changelings” is a possibility. I mean, wasn’t there an IDW chapter about the 6 being stuck like that?

@Daneasaur One idea might be Hasbro introducing children to dark elements with mutations into Changelings just by the alteration of genetic codes and the rearrangement of DNA sequences, kind of like Episode 4 of YouTube user Thunderbirds101’s Microsoft Sam and the War in the ROFL Island Chain, when the Supreme AI hacked into the genetic codes of the Soviet LULZ Brigade, rearranged their DNA sequences, and erased the faction from existence by genetically transforming it into a reborn Communist Linux Penguin Army.

Chrysalis lost her throne, crown, and soldiers and when offered redemption, she instead made a solid threat against Starlight. Whatever she has in mind, it seems like a last gasp strike to cripple Starlight specifically.
 
I could easily see Chrysalis putting a sleep spell on Starlight so that she loses her consciousness for extended periods of time while Chrysalis impersonate her and causes great trouble, ruining Starlight’s reputation with her closest friends, instilling great doubt into Starlight herself of her “sleep abusing” everyone.
 
Of course, the Flurry Heart angle isn’t impossible, considering the outpouring of love she generated forced Thorax to drop his disguise.
 
|| I’m just imagining the idea of Chrysalis actually attacking the crystal empire, feeding off of so much love in it that she’s unstoppable by any conventional means, but Flurry Heart, being the bizarre savant she is, starts trying to latch onto Chrysalis as if “sensing good in her” and Chrysalis just tries to make off with her, and succeeds because Flurry actually HELPS her. Commence a lot of 1 on 1 time of Chrysalis with Flurry and her bumbling and adorable nature starts to rub off on Chrysalis (1 on 1 with a single child is MUCH different then a bunch of self sufficient kids) and Flurry starts to do things that are dangerous to her and Chrysalis actually starts taking care of her and being, well, a mom (think of the live action Maleficent movie). Obviously this would be on the road to a redemption, but I would have it be that Chrysalis’ transformation is one of the most obscenely vibrant things the series shows.||
 
Of course, we don’t know the end game and anything said now is guessing and headcanon.
 
Would it be better for her to be redeemed? To be imprisoned? Destroyed? I’m not sure as everyone has ideas.

@Daneasaur It might involve Flurry Heart. I’m thinking that she might plan to TURN ponies into Changelings by scrambling their minds and rearranging their genetic codes and DNA sequences, mutating them.
