Perhaps something a bit more ominous sounding is necessary…but the best that I can come up with just now is “Storm over Equestria” which still sounds pretty lame. xD
(Also a G1 fan here - I was born in 82, and just barely remember seeing the original specials on the telly and the movie came out when I was like 5. I’ve got every episode and movie from the very beginning up to season 5 of FiM; just because the UK DVD release schedule for FiM is absolute pants).

Yeah, it would have been too redundant. :P
I think I’ll watch that this upcoming Christmas, if I can find it.
I disagree with it being called that. I never was happy with the new movie’s title honestly. It should have been called something else, but. Oh well. A Very Minty Christmas is decent in my opinion.
They should have called it “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: The Movie”.
I saw Mr. Enter’s review on Minty Christmas and now that I look back on it, I disagree with him on it (and with G3, I actually think G3 is decent, then again I’m more of a G4 and G1 fan).
I’m somewhat of a completer, so I wanted to get as many dvds of this franchise as possible, and even the previous generation. Because with out them, we wouldn’t have the amazing G4. I actually think that A Very Minty Christmas isn’t that bad.
A bit of one yeah. While I never watched it as a kid (born in 87 so it was just a bit before my time) and didn’t think much of it even after getting into FIM. I did finally get around to watching it all during one of the hiatuses (in between seasons 3 and 4 IIRC) and I found it to be way better than I thought it would be.

Oh yeah, that’s right lol. I remember that now. I see you may be a previous gen enthusiast?
This movie had a lot of surprising voice actors in it. Nancy Cartwright voiced Gusty which makes this and the G1 series an interesting watch because all I hear every time is Bart Simpson.
Yeah, apparently he was. :)
I’m also not exactly happy with the fact the new movie shares the same name as this film. Nothing against the previous franchises of My Little Pony. I was just hoping for something more attention grabbing.
