Don’t get too descriptive with genitalia on a safe image, or at least spoiler it. My use was medical and not sexual in any way, but tentacle vaginas is very explicit.
 
Anyways, your point makes no sense regardless because, as Zharkaer said, ponies are mammals are we assume basic mammalian reproduction unless otherwise refuted in the show. You stance is the opposite of that, which is illogical.

yes, you can say ponies lack genetalia, if you want. that doesn’t contradict anything in the show. but you can’t say ponies don’t go to the bathroom, and you can’t say ponies are immune to poison. see how that can be limiting?
 
personally I dgaf if you stick with canon or not, and ponies can have tentacle vaginas if you want, but some people do care about that stuff, so it’s (usually) nicer for the show writers to leave it up to speculation. that way nobody’s gonna read my amazing hypothetical story where ponies in it are un… poisonable or something, and leave a comment saying I’m not allowed to write that since it’s not canon.

By that logic, we can say ponies lack genitalia just because we haven’t see any. It’s a fictional word, meaning anything shown is shown when it’s relevant. So we have to assume they are like us until shown otherwise, like in any fictional world. So It’s ridiculous there were people who thought ponies couldn’t get poisoned.

it’s just one of those tenacious headcanons based on the fact that ponies have eaten cala lilies, daffodils, potatoes, eggs, cupcakes, apple brown betty wrappers, and rocks, without any apparent gastrointestinal distress. they’ve never said anything was poisonous before, unless you count poison joke. the only thing that ever made a pony sick until now was baked earthworms. so now people can point to this episode and say that ponies can get poisoned. because that’s a good thing, I guess.
 
personally I find it really slick when the show can leave stuff like that ambiguous, so it’s a bit clumsy when they don’t. 7 seasons is an awful long time to leave it ambiguous though. next they’ll be saying aj’s parents got poisoned
