You wouldn’t have to become a villain if you have a name like that (the idea of making her become a villain only came on long after I changed her name from Opalize to Obsidian Heart), mostly I just gave her that name to make it very different from other shiningdence foals names, and they named her that because her magic colour is back and obsidian doesn’t necessary have to represent a cold/evil heart but a emotionally strong heart (she can’t get hurt easily) (which she represented in her earlier years (early childhood))
