Possible explanation: maybe RD knows it’s Twilight but is just playing along with her trying to cover it up as to not embarrass/freak her out.

@KirbyfanNeox Cutie Marks are not unique identifiers. Photo Finish has the same Cutie Mark as Twilight. Considering their meanings are abstract, multiple ponies with the same marks is very possible.
 
@CronoM Werelight looks and sounds (Werelight’s speech text is a different color from Twilight’s) significantly different from Twilight. There are some similarities, but there a lot of similarities between multiple different ponies.

While I kind of like Twilight unbound, this is just stupid. Rainbow Dash can see through lies easily, even when the others cannot. She’s genre savvy as well. The first thing that would come out of her mouth seeing Twilight is “Twilight, what the hell happened to you? Why are you all huge and dark?”, but otherwise look exactly the same?
