She can still be stuck-up and a rival too. Those parts of her character can still be utilized, while dropping the “bully” part.

To be honest, I didn’t really like them turning him into a villain in that movie. (I know he’s not the same Filthy, but still…) His wife practically was already one, so they could’ve used her instead.

It’s kinda messed up when you realize that Diamond Tiara’s parents have had more involvement with the show than Diamond herself since Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Spoiled Rich has had two speaking roles since then (the one in Where The Apple Lies even being important to the plot), while Filthy got to (sorta) be the main villain of Legend of Everfree (as well as appearing alongside his future wife in WTAL). Meanwhile Diamond hasn’t uttered a word in two seasons and counting, only appearing in the background in ways that let you know she’s still reformed.

True, (and ironically, Starlight gets hate for that) seems that Diamond and Spoon’s whole point in the show was to be an obstacle, rivals, or antagonists for the CMC. Now that they aren’t, it seems the writers can’t think of anything to do with them anymore.
 
Don’t get me wrong, I was actually glad to see Tiara redeemed, and showed a different hidden/repressed vulnerable side to her besides “lol ur blank-flanks.” (Her sad song was adorable too.) Still, I’d be happy if she at least said one sentence in one new episode.

Say what you want about Starlight but at least they did stuff with her after they reformed her

Too bad she’s only a background character now…
