I think that’s partially why alot of Sunset-fans hate Starlight. They feel she overshadows her in the show, and “stole” a role that “should’ve gone to her.” There’s some irony in that, considering Sunset sometimes overshadows the Mane 6 in EqG, and is practically the main character of it nowadays. So in a way Sunset already has her own show/movies. They just aren’t as ongoing as the main show, which is why some are sick of Starlight.
 
It’s probably also a mixed blessing for Sunset-fans. If she appeared more often, fans would probably get sick of her too, or dub MLP the “Sunset Shimmer Show,” like they do with Starlight, Twilight, or other characters they like to bash.

The sole reason I want the reunion in the main show is because that is a plot that must be told 100% in Equestria. No human anything, just pony Sunset finally making amends with her alicorn mentor.
 
Well, that, I just want to put an end to the insistent arguments that EQG is non-canon, and the Celestia reunion would be best suited to that.

It would be nice to see her someday get closure with Celestia, but it’s possible they could do that in EqG somehow, but I wouldn’t mind a small reference to her either in MLP:FiM. (But I don’t think EqG will outlive it.)

The only thing I want is to see her referenced in the show (and I’d like the reunion with Celestia to take place in a special on the main series).
 
Sunset’s got a role to play in EQG, so I don’t want her to leave the human world.
 
Once EQG ends, and if the FIM continues, only then she should return to Equestria. I’d like her as a main character, but I’d be fine if she’s an important recurring secondary.

Perhaps, though shoving Sunset into the main show, wouldn’t be much better, and then she’d be the one being accused of being a “spotlight stealer” like Starlight is, and would trigger the anti-EqG folk, and such. At this point, with the Starlight drama there’s not much room in the main cast, and Sunset gets to kinda stand on her own better in the EqG series, now that they’re doing more shorts of it, and such. I honestly think it’s best if Sunset stays in the EqG series, but I wouldn’t mind cameos of her in the main show, or something.

Thing is, they are still pushing Starlight a bit TOO much. Shoving her into an EQG wasn’t really the right call.

And on one is saying the past gens are part of this world because of AJ and Pinkie.  
He’s saying how Pony Flash is seen in both EqG and FiM.

So… The introduction of characters from previous gens are evidence of those gens being canon to FiM? That’s nice, I think I’ll rather be ‘that type of people’ and take the show as it comes.

Flash Sentry was introduced in EQG. Both versions.

Pony Flash Sentry is a pony, poor evidence. The mirror/portal would be strong evidence, mentioning Sunset or CHS would be strong evidence, a human crossing to Equestria would be strong evidence.

EqG specials don’t count cause they are EqG’s. If the show does not mention anything about Sunset then the spin-off does not exist.

Yes, but she joined the CAST earlier than she joined the MAIN cast. In other words, she technically didn’t exist until the season 5 premiere.

Well, Sunset did appear in EQG Specials, when she returned, for a while.

But talking seriously, besides the veto to not make references to EQG in order to avoid shitstorms still being in place, the book was largely about her friendship lessons to Celestia.
 
Sunset really wouldn’t come up in those.

The journal stopped being written after the season 4 finale. Starlight didn’t join the cast until the season 5 premiere. I doubt that the readers even know who she is.

Personally I think that the evidence should go the other way around, lots of things imply how FIM is canon to EQG, but as far as I know nothing until this point implies that EQG is canon to FIM.
 
Now having said that, I would actually like the show to make EQG canon, it would add a great range of possibilities. My earlier comment was just for the sake of the joke.

yes, less of the girl who we see at least once a year and more of the tecnically, tobmain character of the show. nobody wanted sunset replace twilight, and least not in the show. people just thought sunset become more mature and know more about friendship than… you know the princess of friendship… in respect of the eg movies we wanted to see her as main charcter because if she will be not part of the show, at least make her main character of eg, she literally was created for this franchise.

Honestly, it’s kinda making me like Sunset less, and Glimmer more, I’m so tired of it. I also tire of those who want Sunset to replace Twilight. (In the second & third EqG movies, they kinda got that wish already.)

glimmer made sure we are forever stuck with that sub-par replacement
