I grow chillies! They were meant to be Bhut Jolokia seeds but grew into Thai sweet chillis or something XD Saffy probably knows. I bet she has a wide knowledge of herbs and spices and what not.

Simple. Saffron has quite a unique design, very inspiring as it’s obviously based on India, a lovely accent to go with her design, and she is very caring, but assertive as she’s willing to give ponies and the restaurant chance, even if Coriander thinks differently. Success and being like others isn’t what matters to her, but rather her love for cooking and doing it with those she cares about is most important to her.  
That’s why she’s my all time favorite pony. >w<
