Why Do You Love Me?
“I’m not special, talented, or beautiful like the girls you hear in stories. I haven’t done anything important. I’m not rich, yet you treat me like I’m royalty. I’m not beautiful, yet you take pictures of me like I’m a model. I’m just an average girl, yet you tell me I’m unique, extraordinary, and other compliments. I must ask, why? You say you love me, but I don’t believe it. Why do you love me? Why are you still around? Just, why?”
We all have something similar, even me. I always think, “I’m not talented like those other artists, yet people react like I’m drawing the Mona Lisa.” I know people are just trying to be encouraging, but it’s not really constructive criticism. I want criticism, but I’m not really getting it. I want to improve, because this might be my career if the careers I want don’t work out. I might not be able to take criticism, but hey, I’ll get over it.
Dang it… lost my train of thought.
