Celestia and Luna are basically the closest beings that Equestria has to deities, since they’re seemingly immortal and their magic is powerful enough to move celestial objects like the sun and moon.

Well, technically, there’re three different types, but they’re all very closely related and live around the same areas. They’re called “Vulture Bees”, due to eating dead, rotting flesh, much like vultures do.
