I can imagine her saying she shouldn’t send her ponies off to something worse than what she’s willing to experience herself. It would be noble of her to not insulate herself from the consequences of her actions.

Though also very dangerous to have the leader of your empire on the frontline, though before firearms that was a thing that happened…

And even then. Apparently the king of Jordon joins his soldiers for training exercises and - iirc - even on bombing runs - and that’s like, in the last 5 years or something.

Yet Sombra merrily fights on the frontline. Twilight and Luna don’t exist in a way that matters in this timeline, and who knows where Sunset and Starlight are, so Celestia is really the only hard counter to King Stair Fetishist.
