Prompt: Draw An Emotional Pony / A Pony Fit To Burst
For this challenge, I took inspiration from the IDW Friends Forever comic issue 29. This was such a good issue and brought tears to my eyes when it got up to this part.
I’d like to credit Brenda Hickey , the wonderful artist that inked that comic. and Heather Breckel that colored it. You guys are great! <3

I’m going to have to disagree there. I honestly think, that in the last few seasons, they’ve written her quite well and better then previous seasons. I do admit, season 4 was her… okay, it was her worst season since the writers really didn’t seem to know how to do her for the most part. {A few exceptions come to mind}. As for this episode, I honestly don’t feel like she was out of character or that annoying part in fact for what the episode was trying to convey and part in that people do act like that, trying to get them to like something or someone.
I see I kind of just saw it as people not really like these types of extrovert characters. I do agree however her character is a challenge to right l write considering she doesn’t quite have a life long goal like the others do. (Although I haven’t seen the later seasons so I do not know exactly how her character progression is currently.)
Well, the writers really don’t know how to write Pinkie. And as the seasons went on, she became increasingly more annoying. Like in s7e4, she was maxed out to 1,000. I’ve stopped liking Pinkie recently. She’s just too much. Sorry. x3
How did Pinkie ruin it?
Same here. But to be honest, I didn’t like Rarity during the first few seasons, she only started to grow on me when she got her shop in chanterlot.
Maud on the other hand, I loved the first minute she appeared. But as Starlight said, “Pinkie kind of ruined everything”
Wow I never read the comics but you have shown me that it really does have a merit to it that can really move people such as yourself.
I for one am like maud do I don’t show my emotions all the well if at all so this might really hit closer to home for me.
Hehe I’m glad I know about this now so thanks for the information. Interesting how it moved you to inspire such a piece.
I think it was because it was so much of a left field character development. I mean, I knew Maud had trouble expressing her emotions, but when this scene came up and showed that she was still a normal pony, through her writing, it felt like she became even more of a great character than she already was. It was an absolute masterful way of story telling!
