as they said it is real and although I respect your opinion I do not consider it retcon at the end of accounts some get it by anger but others do not. as the case of goten, trunks and caulifla the change is from the buu arc and never explained before until now killing many theories fanon  
and just like the legend of the ssj said that only one ssj appeared every hundred years and we know that it was only misinterpretation since nobody did it before then it appeared goku ssj and then future trunks ssj so I really feel that this change ultimate does not change anything …  
I do not know what you were talking about where it came from … it is not as if they had explained to us how to get the ssj but we knew that there was more than one way to do it, we only assume that it was genetic and technically it is true at least I thank you author worry about giving clarifications of this type and fill the gaps left previously

Yes I did read it. And it didn’t say where this S-cell thing even came from. Besides, unless I misread your earlier comments, you all were saying emotion had nothing to do with it. (Sigh) Look: I really just don’t care about something Toriyama came up with in the last couple of weeks to put a more logical take on something all Dragonball fans have known for years. So let’s just drop this, ok?

@omnimon11: It’s hard to see how it’s a “retcon” when it doesn’t contradict how a feeling of necessity can trigger the transformation.
 
On the other hand, it does raise questions about Broly, as the guy seems to be black-hearted, and made no effort to overcome the rage that came with the transformation.

They change NOTHING in the grand scheme of things. All they said is basically for a Saiyan to go Super is to reach a certain battle power and the transformation would be triggered through emotions like anger, etc. In fact this explains why half-breeds like Goten and the U6 saiyans achieve it so easily.

Goku, Vegeta and Gohan all became Super Saiyans through pure raw emotion, and that made becoming a Super Saiyan meaningful. Now we have this S-cell bullshit? No. Sorry, but no. I don’t buy it. Don’t bother telling me that that’s what Toriyama said, because, I’m going to take whatever he might say about the Dragonball series nowadays with a grain of salt, regardless.

First off, I am a longtime fan of the Dragonball franchise, so I know very well that Saiyans can’t become Super Saiyans through training.
 
Second off, ‘S-cells’? That sounds like you’re making it up. I’ve never heard of such things. Unless you mean ‘Saiyan cells’ but Saiyan cells don’t ‘build up’ You have to be at least part Saiyan to some degree to be able to become a Super Saiyan

It is not as if someone could become a Super Saiyan through training and anger. To become Super Saiyan, one’s body must contain something called “S-Cells”. Once a certain level of these S cells is reached, the trigger can be anything from anger, pride etc.
 
And how do the S-Cells increase to become Super Saiyan?
 
Having a gentle spirit is the best way to increase S cells, but most Saiyan have problems with this, and I think that’s why no Super Saiyan appeared for so long and they became a legend. However, one can not achieve the amount needed to become a Super Saiyan simply by having a gentle spirit, so a certain amount of battle power is in fact necessary.
 
with this is perfectly justified the transformation of goten, trunks and saiyans of the universe 6

Uh…Goten and Trunks never actually ‘learned’ to become Super Saiyans. Far as anyone knows, it just…happened for them. Hell, I always thought they were naturally-born with the ability to turn Super Saiyan or something…

The way I see it, one of the requirements for getting the transformation anyways, never changed. To put it this way, there’s a common yet simple reason behind every transformation into Super Saiyan 1 thus far; because the Saiyan needed greater strength. It’s only both the reason why the greater strength was needed and the method said strength is obtained that’s different.
