Something tells me that her village was only an enclave of eastern unicorn culture, like a Chinatown or Japantown type of thing. And that there is a greater source of that culture located somewhere west of the Luna Seas.
Mistmane along with the others are certain to visit their homelands next season. Maybe, lol.
Jiangshi are pretty much Asian vampires.
Hold on!
Weren’t the pony species living largely seperately from each other at the time of those comics?
Maybe this predates the Hearthwarming Even events.
But Equstria already exists it seems.
UGH!
This is confusing.
I wonder if anything has been retconned?
Hearthwarming Even also mentioned that the three ponies forgot* how to live with each other. Implying that they did coexist at one point before the Hearthwariming events.
it falls apart a bit with starswirl as twilight’s expy, as he explicitly is supposed to not understand friendship well due to Twilight’s ability to finish his spell (and the Fiendship is magic comic stated his reason for sucking at dealing with the sirens being that he didn’t understand friendship either).
Then again, There’s really been no instance of him not seeming to understand friendship well given he befriended scorpan.
I would like to have the headcanon that the bearers of the values of the Elements of Harmony had a type of succession every couple generations or so. You know much like how the Belmonts’ Vampire Killer was passed down generations within the Belmont clan? Or how the Avatar from the Last Airbender reincarnates every generation after the life of the current one?
The Hearth Warming Eve “counterparts” might have been a preceding “founder” generation to the Legendary Ponies we see here.

Yes
At least the magic looks pretty cool. Maybe some archaic or “forbidden” type.
@Background Pony #6AE2
No! Not Detroit!
(I love that movie!)
Flash Sentry is orange. Sorry, nerd OCD symptoms, lel.
This runs into issues though, as Meadowbrook ALSO is very heavily implied to be the fluttershy one: She’s trying to help a cursed snake in her issue, and she’s being set up as a medical pony of some type when fluttershy’s upcoming episode is about her trying to cure Zecora of an illness.
Damn, I hope none of the Mane 6 meet the same fates as these characters did.
Then again, I doubt they ever will.
Based on her comic, Mistmane is the Fluttershy equivalent due to her connect with nature. Somnambula is the likely Rarity equivalent.
@thps48
Is she the analogue to Rarity out of the 6 legends?
Flash Magnus is obviously Dash, being loyal to his legion if I should suspect.
Somnambula looks to be like Fluttershy.
Meadowbrooke is obviously going to be Pinkie Pie
Rockhoof - AJ
And I don’t need to compare Star Swirl with anyone as we already know very well now who that will be.
Flash Magnus’s name sounds way too close to that of the yellow pegasus stallion whom a lot of us would love to hate. What if he was in a relationship with Nimbus Dash?
Would that make Sentry a distant relative of Dash?
Oh, yes I found it going at 0.05x speed xD. It’s at second 13, after Mistmane released that “dragon” magic.

It was said in a series of events set before LoM 2, she sacrificed her youth to defeat a foe. The other issues of LoE also appear to be set after the events in the stories recounted by Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow in E16.
I’m assuming this story is the one in which she gives up her beauty.
Campfire Tales (the episode) has the “origin stories” of each of the legendary heroes, while the comics are more “further adventures”
