When you get caught up in a massive rant about how the latest episode undermines previously established character development; when you pore over seven seasons’ worth of minutiae to raise (or raze) a point; when you comb through all the lines of dialogue to build your argument about how a certain writer is terrible for Character Z; when you churn out 16,000 words to explain how the latest magic spell actually ruins your carefully reverse-engineered pony magic system, know this and despair.
