that’s… kinda the case with most, if not all animated movies, m8, possibly live-action ones too
there’s a rough cut of the movie that the crew watch to see if there’s any mistakes or errors or voice flubs - which is most likely why some of the cast was brought in, to take a look and re-record lines if necessary
Well, they see the progress so far. The movie won’t be completely finished until shortly before its released. Often there’s a very short window of time between a print being locked, and the duplicates made for the theaters.
