This is an Earth Pony Lancier, backbone of the Equestrian forces.
The armour focuses on protecting the back (from aerial attacks) and the chest (from other lances), although the neck piece is missing here. The ceremonial horned helmet and flag, shown here, are rarely worn into battle.
