Description

Stopping in the grass, the young grey mare stopped to check the fussy baby she had wrapped in a baby sling.
Smiling as she cradled the teeny foal close, a soft purr escaped her lips. Her voice was a gentle calming coo
as she adored her calming child. It was obvious the mare was a new mother, and the foal a newborn, the glow
around her said it all, and she couldn’t have been happier.
As she sat in the cool grass adoring her child, a large shadow fell over her, forcing her to look up and come face
to face with a red draft stallion. Turning dark red, she smiled brightly. “Mac!” She cooed, reaching up to hug his
shoulder.
“Hi my little muffin.” Macintosh purred, leaning into her hug gently. Looking at the child in her arms, he sighed
softly and kissed Derpy’s head, closing his eyes. “I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the hospital to see you. I’m a
horrible parent.” His voice was sad as he leaned on her.
She just laughed softly, patting his shoulder. “It’s okay! You weren’t expecting me to go into labor. It just
happened when you were making a delivery to Canterlot. You couldn’t have missed that. And you wouldn’t have
been able to make it back in time. I understand and it’s not your fault, my love.” She was happy, grinning, and
feeling lighter than a feather as she spoke.
He just sighed and fell silent for a minute, accepting her patting comfort. After a bit like that, scoping the park
they were sitting in, he pulled away and sat next to her, leaning down to look at the now sleeping foal in her
arms, his green eyes melting.
“What did you name her?” He asked, dropping his ear as he looked at his daughter with pure fatherly love.
“… I named her Dinky Doo.” Derpy replied softly, her hoof running over her baby’s fetlock, smiling.
“It fits. It really does. I’m so happy she is ours.”

Some background character lives! Today’s is DerpMac.
Im my nextgen, Big Mac and Derpy got together when they were teenagers, still in highschool. Near the end of
their final year, Derpy got pregnant. She managed to graduate, and even start her life and get her mail carrying
job before she had her baby. Big Mac was oddly excited, to Derpy’s surprise, and willingly let her come live at
Sweet Apple Acres with him and his family. It was there that she went into labor, and with Applejack and Granny
Smith helping, she had her healthy baby girl whom she named Dinky Doo. Big Mac, however, was away on an
apple delivery to Canterlot and missed it. It still bothers him to this day, though Derpy doesn’t hold it against him.
Around Dinky’s first year, they broke up. Derpy got her own place, and Big Mac helped take care of them both,
though they were broken up. It wasn’t ugly, they just both got stressed and having only dated each other for
serious in high school.
Derpy dated no one as she cared for Dinky, and Big Mac, as one of the most eligible males in Ponyville, ended up
dating Cherilee, Rarity, Fluttershy, even Twilight at one point. However, even in the end, he always cared heavily
for Derpy and Dinky, and after Dinky turned ten, Big Mac and Derpy got back together. Soon enough they were
married and raising Dinky together properly, having fallen in love all over again.
A happy ever after. Derpy is officially my favourite partner for Big Mac. Originally it was Rarity but.. Derpy is so cute.
