Its like when the characters were in the naming process, they named Starlight Glimmer to make it sound like Twilight Sparkle. But then, they wondered what they would name Starlight’s stallion friend. They wanted him to be associated with the sun so they ended up naming him Sunburst. And then one of the production staff said, that’s perfect, their ship name can be Starburst.
