Eh, didnt read the comics with accord in them but just from this i know i will hate that part of it i bet hehe. Good thing comics are shcrodingers cat as far as canon is concerned? :D
Still would be quiet a implication if NMM could directly overpower the elements by her lonesome without any real preparation or anything, wouldnt it?
@Twilestia
I cannot imagine it’d take much effort for a given diety to subdue the Elements’ consciousness, if Discord and Accord are any indication. :j
@FanOfMostEverything
pretty well put. I see the elements more as “order” rather then “good”. Discord might be evil to a mortals eyes, but to him as a immortal he was probably just bored and doing what hes good at , spreading chaos and having fun.
But at the same time the elements are at least semi sentient if they refused Luna and allowed Celestia to use them all even if shes lacking in some elements. And then picked new owners even though both old ones are still around.
I just like to think that powerful artefacts, especially semi-sentient at least would come with some sort of defense against direct manipulation against their will.
Not saying subtle smart manipulation cannot happen, but here NMM is just trying to strongarm them to obey her command, as mentioned before, i would see it backfiring and going boom-banishment on a large area or something as a result. Not just “lol it worked without any consequences! :D “

People often mention wanting to upvote comments, but that’s one I’d have liked the ability to favorite so I can find it again.
I’ve had similar opinions myself, just phrased less well.

I can definitely see your point of view. However, the artist’s drawings are just so good and make up for the awkward shipping lol.
I like Silfoe’s art style a lot but like I said, this shipping angle and the story behind it completely turns me off.

Stuff like this always gets to me for some reason. I guess it’s just who I am, but this whole storyline is a complete turn off since its shipbait, and the fact that NMM seems to have zero remorse for having locked her sister away for 1000 years. The whole thing upsets me and I don’t know why. I guess extreme shipping isn’t for everyone. I just want to see this whole thing from Celestia’s point of view from the moon. What are her feelings about having failed to protect everything she cared about.
@Twilestia @NorrisThePony
you can totally force good artifacts to be used for evil purposes, they just usually don’t end up giving the intended results and/or break in the process
@NorrisThePony
Harmony is not necessarily good.
Kindness can be stifling.
Generosity can be self-serving.
Laughter can be cruel.
Loyalty can be blind.
Honesty can be blunt.
Magic can be anything.
(That being said, this does not bode well for when the plundervines sprout…)
@NorrisThePony
I would say the EoH are simply magical artifacts that are charged with more positive energies, you can usually force an artifact to go beyond it’s design or intent which typically results in its destruction right afterward.
Honestly, this seems to be a stretch for justifying the ’elements work against good” routine. Being able to ‘force’ a literal ‘element’ of good to do something evil is a bit of a paradox.
I could see it breaking and taking Celestia, NMM and everying in x radius with them to the moon but the ultimate representation of harmony being controlled by “evil” even if for a moment, without any real consequences for said forced user. Eh.
Why not just teleport the elements away?

Potentially. :3
All shipping is awkward and cringey

Damn I rambled on. Sorry guys.
“Teleports behind you” is the perfect thing to describe this scene. Thanks for the chuckle lol.

….. You’ve now got me thinking of a story based on that…
A world that moved on from them only to suddenly have two super pissed goddesses appear at the exact same time.
……..oh my god I need to think more on this…..
