AJ and RD had great moments together in both S4E02 and S4E03 (Rainbow Dash liked that moment when she tought AJ was the one touching her... instead of "Phantom" Rarity).
 
Something happened at the end of S4E13 that changed things... for Applejack and Rarity.
 
By the end of S4E22 (train scene) it was RD the one openly shipping bothem (prtobably bgecausther (they were acting like an old couple through the whole episode, even "proposing" each other with their "not-rings" a junk" gifts).
