Isn’t that an oxymoron?
Really. So I guess the fact that the deficit is being reduced is a coincidence, then: huffingtonpost com/2013/02/05/budget-deficit-trillion-cbo_n_2623910.html
Why do you make it so easy to hate you? And yes, I am aware your comment is over 3 months old. I don’t really care.
Not really, I find it kind of strange though.
If Obama is santa, then Romney is the grinch: won’t help at all, would just take more from you and give nothing in return.
Heck, even his home state didn’t want him!
I didn’t vote for any Santa claus.
Who’s to say Secularists, or Athiests arn’t also influenced by outside sources either for their opinions, eh? (Like being brainwashed by left-over-hippie college professors, and former domestic tarrorists like Bill Ayers, and such.)
Y’know, if you ask me, being against religious people, or wanting to outlaw religion, or saying religious people arn’t entitled to their opinions just because some of said opinions are influenced by their religion makes you no better then a homophobe, racist, or sexist person.
I don’t care if a candidate is Christian, Athiest, Mormon, Jewish, Catholic, whatever as long as they get the job done.
Also, Women have plenty of rights last I checked. If Republicans are so “sexist,” why did Romney have more women who work for him then Obama did? I also recall, back in 2008 election the liberal side of the news media was harder on Sarah Palin, (BTW not saying I support everything she does/say) then they were on McCain, and Obama combined. (And she was just running for vice-president.)
If you ask me Democrats can be pretty sexist to, (hell, some chick claimed Clinton tried to rape her, and his supporters didn’t care) especially when it comes to republican or conservative women. They even attacked her for “hunting,” as if suggesting women can’t do that, because it’s not “girly.” Now that’s “sexist” if you ask me. They also attacked her family, which I thought was getting to personal.
Also when Hilary, and Obama were competing against each other for the Democrat candidate nomination, they were harder on Hilary then they were Obama, and asked her tougher questions, and such. (They made fun of that on a comedy skit on SNL, or something.)
I’m not saying Democrats are completely sexist, I’m just saying they can act that way sometimes, as well, and neither party is “perfect.”
My main beef with some Democrat citizens, and some Republicans overall is they think minor issues like “gay marriage” and “abortion,” (regardless if they support them one way, or the other) are more important then the economy, the way the Government is handled, and many other more important things, and only vote solely based on those minor issues, rather then on more important ones. It’s like abortion, and such is all they care about.
The only reason I respect Republicans more then Democrats is because they piss me off less often, but overall both sides are going downhill, if you ask me.
Anyone who worships their political party is ignorant, I feel. Neither party is “great.”
I checked and it appears you are correct. However, over two-thirds of atheists vote democrats.
Every four fucking years. Same shit, different election.
However, a ‘Bible-thumper’ would be someone that jams their ideals and religion down other people’s throat as undeniable and right despite what other people think. It doesn’t just relate to direct Christianity (or any of its branches).
Our actions are dictated by the choices we make based on our beliefs and personalities; hence, when someone’s personality/beliefs has them acting out towards certain groups and disregarding people and their rights based solely on religious bases…
Well, here’s glad Romney didn’t get in.
I know, I just get tired of people acting like anyone who has a religion, or believes in God is a “Bible-thumper,” “cultist,” or something. It gets old.
Being a Christian doesn’t automatically make one a “Bible-thumper.” If it did, I’d have a very low view on the religion and its followers.
By no means do we have any problems with any candidate being christian(would be odd since Mitt is a Mormon) Its just don’t want them to use there religion as a important influence on there policy. In other words, we want a secular candidate, something Mitt, is clearly not.(P.s. only speaking for myself)
As for that “At least Obama isn’t a Bible-thumper” crack, y’know, he actually said he is a Christian, and he goes to Church.
So if you hate Christians, then you’re out of luck then. :P
