While the concept of Burnferno being his actual father is rather neat, I doubt we’ll get anything like that. On top of it, as Twilight’s Seven so expertly showed, his true skills and talents are not strength, fire, and flight, but his realist mindset, wit, and knowledge of his friends/family.

Well, he got wings after all! Let’s see if Burnferno is actually a real dragon, let alone Spike’s dad! He seems better than that fat cabbage from last season, that’s for sure!
Spike doesn’t need wings and adding wings to him isn’t gonna magically cure his buttmonkey status.
I just meant I wanted the fact that he was told he looks like Burnferno to be foreshadowing of eventually growing wings like him, because in every other aspect the guy already looks like a bigger version of Spike (the spines, the spade tail).
I don’t want Spike to permanently grow bigger either, just get tiny wings as proof that he’ll one day be as majestic as his older kin even if we never get to see it in the show.
