I like to think Flash and Sunset’s understanding of each other is a bit closer than “just friends”, if how they acted in Legend of Everfree is any indication. They seem pretty close. Sure she kinda brushed him off, but she did have her mind on something else when he started talking to her. He did make mention about how he could usually read her. I like to think that their first interactions were similar to how Flash met Twilight and that Flash was maybe the first friend she ever had, even if didn’t want one at first.
I get it. Also I do see Sunset and Twilight as sisters now that you mention it. That’s why I change one of their genders to make the ship official and make a lot of sense.

TwiTimber is stupid, FlashShimmer never would work since Sunset only sees Flash as a friend and TwiShimmer is overrated and the two are more like sisters than lovers. FlashLight makes the most sense, whether Flash is with the princess or Sci-Twi.
Not really. I mean Flashlight is a decent ship in my opinion. But I sorta love Sunsetsparkle and Duskshimmer. BTW sorry I said Flashimmer sucks, it’s just not my cup of tea.
Honestly I can still see potential for Flashimmer. They could take another look on how things were when they dated. I like to think that their relationship wasn’t all just a farce. That she actually did have some feelings for him and that her saying she didn’t was like she was telling herself that she didn’t like him at all because she regretted how things ended between them.

Unfortunatly, Flashimmer is now a poorly thought out rebound relationship, seemingly used to push Flash away from Human! Twilight to make room for Timbertwi and doesn’t look to be any more developed than Flashlight was and that’s assuming the writers plan to follow up on it at all. Really makes me feel bad for Flash, four movies in and no extra depth added, he’s still just the character who exists to be a shallow romantic interest with romances that stop at acknowledged interest but don’t advance beyond that.
