They hear her shouting that she’s sorry for being late and trots in. Or rather, slithers in. Her lower hooves and tail were gone, replaced with what looked like a giant magenta tail with flowers on the scales. She explained to the class that she went to a “friend” who was asked to turn her into what is known as ‘lamia’. She tells that class about lamias (creatures with two types of bodies, one being their upper normal self and the other being their lower snake self). Cheerilee talks about their abilities of hypnosis, inherited traits (such as slit eyes, sharp tongue, altered senses, and hissing), the comfort of their coils, and ways for getting their… “special somepony,” as Cheerilee calls it. She notices that despite being such a new lesson introducing unique creatures, the class got bored, drawn on the table, talked through the whole lesson, or just slept on their desks. Cheerilee asks for everypony to look up before class ends and what every filly and colt sees are a bunch of magenta and yellow rings popping from their teacher’s eyes. They looked so cool and pretty that none of them could look away. Cheerilee tells the class that they’ll remember what she taught them today for class later on because she’s going to bring in some actual lamias for demonstrations (mostly the lamias she drew on the board). The class hypnotically promises and walks out of the schoolhouse, ending the class.
