I’d read a fanfic like that! And it would be pretty hilarious if the only character in that time line who was not a Derpy version of a regular character and actually knew that anything was different was Discord.
But literally everyone from Big Mac, Mayor Mare, Princess Cadance, Queen Chrysalis, and so on, was Derpified.

Where Herplight Derple purified Nightmare Depth Perception, restored Princess Bright Eyes, and rescued Princess Muffins? I’m okay with this.

New headcanon, if Twilight and Starlight Glimmer had pushed their time traveling shenanigans one more alternate time line further past the ash lands, they would have arrived at a Equestria populated with nothing but Derpys.
