This ask is referencing another picture about Backy next to the box (Someone uploaded it here as well, I have no idea how to “link” stuff here properly so whatever, anyway). Since it is a reference to the other post there are two options rather a) person was wrong with his/her tense of a choice (not their mother’s tongue for instance) or b) they are interested about the box contents of the picture they are referencing (aka one that made them want to ask this question). Since drawing an empty box and word “Nothing” next to it would be rather boring, I drew what I thought might have been in the box in the past, and so I am suggesting a past tense as well so that people wouldn’t think that Modpone is still in the box.

well the joke is that modpone is the fragile stuff and since he’s still in the box, its not past tense.

But isn’t the past tense for that sentence not, “is” But “was”?… I’m pretty sure I’m correct but feel free to correct me.
