The yellow on her clothes matches her skin tone too closely and makes the coloring look incomplete.

Also, she has wacky anime pants. How is that “goth” or am I just being too old again?

Maybe it’s because she’s got “DIE” on her shirt? When I was in school “emo/goth” were the all-black, leather and spike-wearing kids with black lipstick and makeup. Today it seems to mean something else.
